This will maximize the amount of time you can store your product because it also blocks out light exposure. Light exposure can break down organic matter such as cannabis fairly quickly which results in cannabinoid degradation.
Remember heat, light exposure, air, and humidity are not your cannabis flower’s friends so always make sure to keep your stash in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.
