Bongs are a great way to smoke weed because the water works to filter out a lot of the stuff you don’t want to be inhaling that comes with the smoke. Having a clean bong ensures that you get the best filtration, flavor, and makes for a better high. However, if you are using a dirty bong you’re defeating the purpose of the filtration by allowing all of the gunk from the smoke to sit inside the bong and be inhaled.

Even if you change the water in your bong but the bong itself is still coated in residue, the stuff you want filtered out just gets inhaled anyway. This is why it’s important to clean your bong frequently and try to dump the water out after every use. A dirty bong is a breeding ground for bacteria and mold which is why Strains Dispensary is here to enlighten you on how to properly clean it and avoid breathing in unwanted substances.

Steps For Cleaning Your Bong

Carefully take apart your bong by removing the bowl and stem. Dump out the dirty water and give it a quick rinse with clean water.
Fill the chamber with isopropyl alcohol but make sure to leave a little empty space. Next, add in two or three tablespoons of coarse salt.
Cover the top of the bong, shake it vigorously, and then let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Discard the solution, wipe down the inside with a paper towel or a bottle brush.
Rinse the inside with clean water, cover the top, and shake again. Empty the contents and repeat these steps as many times as necessary.
Clean the bowl and stem by adding them into a ziplock bag filled with isopropyl alcohol and salt. Shake the bag and then let it sit for 10 minutes.
Give the bag one more shake and then rinse the pieces with water until they are clean.

How to Use Puffco Pro

The Puffco Pro is a convenient way to take dabs while on the go or just a fun tool to use at home. It sets a new standard for consuming concentrates by simplifying the process while delivering an elevated experience. If you’re a beginner the Puffco Pro is a seamless way to enjoy using concentrates. If you consider yourself a connoisseur of concentrates the Puffco Pro is a great way to customize and control your smoking experience with ease.

Getting Started

First thing you want to do is turn on your Puffco Pro by pressing down and holding the button. The Puffco Pro has four temperature settings to choose from: blue is the lowest, green is the second lowest, red is the second highest, and white the highest. Simply, press and hold the button until you reach your desired temperature.
Next, you’re going to fill the triangular glass chamber with water until you reach just above the two small air holes.
After filling the chamber with water your next step is to add your dab wax to the chamber before heating the Puffco Pro. You’ll only need a small amount of wax because a little goes a long way when it comes to concentrates.
Allow the Puffco Pro 30 seconds to fully heat up and it will vibrate to indicate that it’s ready to go.
After you’re finished using the Puffco Pro simply hold down on the button again to power it off.
It’s recommended to clean your Puffco Pro after every use so the oil from the dab wax doesn’t clog up the chamber. To clean it just use a cotton swab to wipe out the residual oil.

What is Kief?

What is Kief?

The cannabis plant is covered in trichomes which are resinous glands that contain compounds like THC, CBD, terpenes, and more. Kief is the result of the trichomes drying and breaking off of the plant in the form of a powdery substance.

Kief is typically darker in color than the actual plant and is somewhat sticky. Kief is commonly collected in the bottom of a grinder as a result of grinding up the cannabis plant. Grinders have a separate chamber at the bottom that is referred to as a “kief catcher”.

Can You Use Kief?

The answer is yes, kief is actually somewhat of a treasure for avid smokers because it is a lot stronger than the cannabis plant itself since it is so concentrated. Not only can you add kief to bowls or joints for an added kick, but it can also be pressed into hash.

You can even purchase kief at the dispensary, but keep in mind that it will have a lighter color because it most likely won’t have as much of the plant mixed in.

How to Use a Kief Catcher

First off you’ll need to make sure that your grinder is either a 3-piece or a 4-piece because that means it’s equipped with a kief catcher. Once you grind up your weed the trichomes will fall off of the nugs and into the bottom of the grinder where it is stored as your kief.

It takes a bit of time to collect kief crystals especially if you are using a new grinder or if you just began smoking weed. Kief builds up over time as you grind up your weed and ends up being a great resource if you are running low on stash.

Storing Your Cannabis Flower

It may seem too simple to be true, but the best way to store your cannabis is in a glass jar with a screw-on lid, essentially a mason jar. An airtight glass mason jar is most effective because your cannabis won’t be exposed to air, humidity, or oxidation.

Another step you should take when choosing a mason jar for your cannabis is to make sure that the jar has tinted brown or green glass. This will maximize the amount of time you can store your product because it also blocks out light exposure. Light exposure can break down organic matter such as cannabis fairly quickly which results in cannabinoid degradation.

Remember heat, light exposure, air, and humidity are not your cannabis flower’s friends so always make sure to keep your stash in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.

The Buddies Toro E-Rig Vaporizer is the perfect way to take your dab rig on the go. Its portable size and electric heating method makes it easy to use discreetly wherever you are. If you’re interested in learning more about how to use and maintain your Buddies Toro E-Rig Vaporizer, Strains Dispensary is here to show you.

How to use a Buddies Toro E-Rig Vaporizer

Charge the device using the provided usb-c cable till the light blinks white then stops blinking all together.
Fill the percolator with only a tiny bit of water to the red fill line (we like to fill just a tiny tiny bit over).
Insert the percolator into the Buddies toro device with the red fill line indicator facing towards the middle of the unit.
Remove the carb cap and fill the ceramic atomizer with enough concentrate for 1 personal use.
Turn on the device by pressing the main button 3 times quickly.
You can cycle through the temperature setting by double pressing the main button twice, we recommend going to the warmest setting in most cases on this particular device.
Once you have selected the temperature setting, tap the main button once to start the pre-heating of the ceramic atomizer. Once it has fully heated up you can begin inhaling through the percolator, or possibly even before it finishes. We sometimes found it necessary to put it through 2 pre-heating sessions per usage session.

Cleaning

To clean the atomizer, it must be partially warm so the contents inside are liquid. Use the provided q-tips to remove the excess liquid for the inside of the atomizer.
To clean the rest of the device, wait till the device is fully cooled down and use the provided alcohol pads.
To clean the inside of the percolator use hot water or rubbing alcohol. We sometimes found it necessary to use rubbing alcohol and salt combined to really clean up the device.
